You Don't Have To Push a Handcart

"You don’t have to push a handcart,

Leave your famly dear,

Or walk a thousand miles or more

To be a pioneer!"

"You do need to have great courage,

Faith to conquer fear,

And work with might for a cause that’s right

To be a pioneer!"

-Children's Song Book-

I made the girls skirts. My momma made the bonnets. I am safety pinned into the blue dress, 24 weeks and 3 days. We had a feast Monday evening at the Norr cabin, then took photos in the fading light. I think our ancestors would have loved a Rubbermaid cart.

I am pretending that DJ was with the Mormon Battalion for these family moments. (Instead he was refusing to join everyone in a dress up so I put him behind the camera and ignored him for about 20 minutes while I fumed. What is it with men? Like somehow their dignity might be tarnished if someone were to discover them in costume?)

Anyway. Was a fun evening. We watched the neighbors set off fireworks and ate lots and lots of watermelon.
